In Madrid

In the city of Madrid most works and activities are processed through a responsible declaration (declaración responsable), under the municipal by-law on licences and responsible declarations approved in 2022. With complete technical documents, in most cases it allows works or the activity to start from the moment it is filed. We prepare the project, file the documents and support you during the subsequent inspections.

In Mahón and Menorca

In the Balearic Islands, Law 7/2013 regulates the setting up and operation of business activities. Depending on the type of activity, it is processed through a responsible declaration or a prior installation permit, always with a technical project. We know the procedures of Mahón town council and the other municipalities on the island.

How we work

  1. Feasibility. We check whether the use you want is allowed in the premises.
  2. Technical project. Drawings, report and compliance with regulations (accessibility, fire escape, services).
  3. Filing and follow-up. We handle the application and any requests from the council.
  4. Opening. Completion certificate and the documents you need to open.

Frequently asked questions

What is a responsible declaration?
It is a document in which the owner declares that the works or activity comply with regulations, submitted together with the technical documents. In many cases it replaces the licence and speeds things up, but the project must be properly resolved: the council can inspect it afterwards.

Can you check premises before we rent them?
Yes, and we recommend it. A prior feasibility study avoids surprises with the permitted use, accessibility or kitchen extraction.
